A UAE legal documentation office built on verification
TAHQEEQ is a team of MOJ-certified legal translators and documentation specialists. Since 2019 we have helped individuals, companies and law firms get their documents translated, attested and announced correctly, so they are accepted the first time.
- MOJ-certified legal translation
- Operating since 2019
- Three focused services
Why we exist
Official documents decide whether a case is heard, a visa is approved or a company is registered. They should never be the weak link.
The UAE is home to people from almost every country, and its legal system works in Arabic. That combination creates a constant need: contracts written in English, certificates issued in India, Russia or the Philippines, court papers, company documents and personal records all have to be understood and accepted by UAE authorities.
TAHQEEQ started in 2019 to make that process dependable. Too many people were losing time and money because a translation was not certified properly, a document was attested in the wrong order, or a notice was worded in a way the receiving authority did not accept. We set out to be the office that gets these details right.
Today we focus on three services only: legal translation, document attestation and newspaper announcements. We chose to stay narrow on purpose. It lets us build real depth in the work that matters most, and it means the person who answers your question actually knows the subject.
Tahqeeq means verification
The name describes the way we work. Every document we handle is checked, then checked again, before it leaves our office.
Make official paperwork simple
Our aim is to take the uncertainty out of legal documentation. You should know what you need, what it will involve and what to expect, in plain language, before you commit to anything.
Accuracy over speed
We work quickly where we can, but never by skipping checks. A fast translation that a court rejects is slower than one done properly the first time.
Honest, clear communication
We tell you plainly what we offer and what we do not, including how hard copies are handled and when a requirement depends on the authority rather than on us.
Three services that work together
Legal translation
Our core service is MOJ-certified legal translation. Our translations are issued under the UAE Ministry of Justice framework, and each one carries the translator’s licence number on the stamp, the translator’s handwritten signature and a certification statement confirming accuracy. These are the elements courts and authorities look for.
We translate contracts, court judgments and orders, company documents, certificates, visa and immigration papers, wills, powers of attorney, medical reports and more, as well as evidence such as emails, bank statements and WhatsApp chats for Rental Dispute Centre and other court cases.
Document attestation
Attestation confirms that the signature, seal or issuing body on a document is genuine. We map the correct route for your document and destination, which may involve the issuing body, a notary or the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the relevant embassy. We then handle the steps in the right order.
Newspaper announcements
Some legal and administrative steps require a public notice. We prepare the wording, check it contains what the receiving authority expects, and arrange publication in Arabic, English or both. Typical notices cover lost documents, name changes, company changes and legal notices.

Why combine them?
Most real files need more than one service. A foreign certificate may need attestation and then an Arabic translation. A company change may need translated documents and a published notice. Because we offer all three, there is one point of contact, one standard of quality and no gaps between steps.
- One contactYou deal with one team from start to finish.
- Consistent terminologyNames, dates and legal terms stay identical across every document in your file.
- Joined-up planningWe sequence the steps so nothing is done twice.
The principles behind every file
These are not slogans. They describe what actually happens when you send us a document.
Meaning, not words
Legal translation is about legal effect. A term such as “lessor”, “waiver” or “indemnity” must be rendered with the concept UAE courts recognise, not with the nearest dictionary word.
Specific, never vague
We name the authorities and steps that apply to your file, such as GDRFA, MOHRE, DLD, RERA, DED or DMCC, so you know exactly what is happening and why.
Check, then check again
Names, passport numbers, dates, amounts and registration numbers are verified against your originals. These small details are where most rejections begin.
Confidentiality
Contracts, court files and personal records are sensitive. Your documents are used only to complete your request and are not shared beyond what the work itself requires.
Plain advice
If you do not need a service, we say so. If a requirement depends on the receiving authority, we tell you to confirm it and help you do so.
Accountability
If something we delivered does not match your original, tell us. We correct our own errors and take responsibility for the accuracy of our work.
From your original to a certified result
Every file passes through the same stages, whether it is a one-page certificate or a hundred-page agreement.
Review. We read your documents first, identify the language, the type of document and the authority that will receive it. This decides the certification, format and any attestation needed.
Translation. A licensed legal translator carries out the work, keeping the structure of the original so a reader can compare the two side by side. Stamps, seals, handwritten notes and tables are described and placed clearly.
Verification. The finished text is checked against the original for names, numbers, dates and legal terms. Anything unclear in the source, such as a faded stamp or an illegible signature, is flagged instead of guessed.
Certification. The translator adds the licence number on the stamp, signs by hand and includes the certification statement.
Delivery. You receive soft copies first. Hard copies can be sent by courier on request or collected from us. Delivery is not free by default.
Languages we work in
We translate between Arabic and English, and between these and the languages below, depending on what your receiving authority needs.
The legal basis for certified translation
Arabic is the official language of the state under the UAE Constitution, and the Civil Procedure Law (Federal Decree Law No. 42 of 2022) provides that court proceedings are conducted in Arabic and that foreign-language documents must be translated into Arabic by a certified legal translator to be admitted. This is why certification is not optional for court use, and why we treat it as the heart of our work.
People and organisations we help
Individuals and families
Residents handling visas, marriage and birth registration, property transfers, wills and inheritance, immigration files and court cases. We guide you through each step and help you avoid repeat visits.
Companies and investors
Businesses in mainland and free zones that need MOA and AOA, shareholder agreements, commercial contracts, licences and employment contracts translated and attested, and company notices published.
Law firms and PROs
Legal professionals and service providers who need dependable turnaround and consistent legal terminology on court files, judgments, orders and evidence bundles.
Familiar with the authorities your documents face
Knowing the receiving body is half of getting a document accepted. Since 2019 we have prepared files for the full range of UAE institutions.
Courts and dispute bodies expect Arabic documents with a certified translator’s stamp, a clear sequence of exhibits and consistent names. Immigration and labour bodies such as GDRFA and MOHRE look closely at personal details and certificate wording. Property bodies such as the Dubai Land Department and RERA expect lease and sale agreements, powers of attorney and title documents to match exactly. Licensing bodies such as DED and free zones such as DMCC need company documents translated in the form their registration teams accept.
Each of these has its own habits, and those habits are what decide whether a file passes. Our work is shaped by that experience. When we receive a document, we think first about who will read it and what they will check, and we prepare it for that reader.

- Property and real estateLease agreements, sale and purchase agreements and powers of attorney.

What you can expect when you work with us
A promise is only useful if it is specific. These are the commitments we make on every file, written plainly so you can hold us to them.
You will know the plan before we start. After reviewing your documents we explain what is needed, which steps are involved and what it will cost, so there are no surprises later.
You will get what the authority actually needs. We do not add services you do not need, and we do not skip steps you do. If the right answer is a single stamped page, that is what we recommend.
Your details will be right. A misspelled name or a wrong passport number can undo an entire application. We compare every personal detail against the original and flag anything that does not match, even if the mistake is in the source document.
You will be told the truth about timing. Translation can be quick, while attestation and newspaper publication depend on authorities and publication schedules outside our control. We give realistic expectations instead of figures that cannot be kept.
Your information stays protected. Documents are handled only by the people who need them to complete your request and are used for no other purpose.
You will always reach a person. Call or WhatsApp +971 58 685 7580 and speak with someone who knows your file. Clients who return to us usually do so because they were treated clearly and fairly the first time.
We will fix our own mistakes. If a delivered document does not match your original, we correct it promptly and take responsibility for the accuracy of our work.
Find the document you need translated
Each page below explains the requirements, the process and the common pitfalls for that document type.
Why certified translation is different from ordinary translation
Many people first try an online tool, a friend who speaks both languages, or a general translation shop. For personal reading that is fine. For an official purpose it usually is not, because UAE authorities do not accept a translation unless a recognised, licensed translator stands behind it and signs for its accuracy.
An ordinary translation has no one accountable for it. A certified legal translation has a named, licensed translator who confirms in writing that it is complete and accurate, and whose licence number appears on the stamp. That accountability is what a judge, a registrar or an immigration officer relies on.
The difference shows up at the worst moment: at the counter, after you have waited in line, or in court on the day of a hearing. A rejected translation can mean a missed deadline, a postponed session or a new application fee. Paying for certification at the start is almost always cheaper than repeating the process later.
That is the reasoning behind everything we do. We would rather spend an extra hour verifying a document than send you back to an office a second time. If you are ever unsure whether your document needs certification, ask us before you spend money elsewhere. We will tell you honestly, even when the answer is that you do not need us. That honesty is part of why clients trust us with their most important documents.
